LOST Season 5.01 Because you left..
One of my favorite quotes from LOST was in this episode and it came from Hurley. "I need to get a cool code name," in reference to Locke's, Jeremy Bentham persona.
Questions that I have following this episode: (Chronological from beginning of episode to end)
1. Pierre Chang (Marvin Candle-who appears to be a jerk) Says: "There are rules. Rules that can't be broken!"
Is this a true statement or is it something that is being said to keep others from trying to break the rules?
2. With the photo of the chamber that revealed the frozen donkey wheel, there was no surprise reaction from
Pierre other than to say stop drilling as it can release limitless amounts of unharnessed energy. How did the
wheel get there and does Chang know the answer to how it got there?
3. Jack states to Ben, the other Oceanic survivors are not my friends anymore. Why is that?
4. Ben again says when speaking to Locke just before moving the island, that he is sorry that he made his life miserable.
Is Ben speaking of Locke's life after the crash or did Ben manipulate Locke's entire life? Locke is older than Ben, but
throlugh time travel did Ben actually manipulate his life himself or through Alpert all along?
5. What happened to the islanders when the island disappeared?
6. What happened to the others when the island started skipping in time?
7. Who do the lawyers represent, that are asking Kate for a blood sample?
8. Did Yemi's plane crash as a direct result of the current island skipping in time? Much like the hatch causing the crash
of the Oceanic 815.
9. Was Locke shot in the same place in his leg as where the door came down on it in the hatch?
10. Is Sun really wanting to kill Ben or is it her way of luring Widmore in for Ben?
11. Who was after Sayid?
12. Can time not be changed as Faraday claims?
13. Why does Alpert have to wear glasses?
14. Why will Alpert not know Locke the next time he sees him?
15. Was the compass a way for Locke to remember Alpert, and is that why Alpert was so mad when Locke didn't pick it
as a child?
16. When Sawyer went to the back door of the hatch, why did Faraday reiterate that you can't change the past?
17. Sawyer responds to Faraday by saying I know what I can't change. This is the first time I can recall that the response was
not-- Don't tell me what I can't do!
18. Why does Faraday approach the hatch and talk to Desmond. Can he get a different response than Sawyer?
19. Faraday tells Desmond-THE RULES DO NOT APPLY TO YOU. YOU ARE UNIQUE. What does this mean? Are the rules=- the
the rules of time?
20. Is Desmond the only unique person? Could Locke, Walt, or for that matter any of the Oceanic survivors be unique as
well?
21. Who is Faraday's mom?
Ponder these questions and send answers if you have any to the above questions. I do not think that Mrs. Hawking is Faraday's
mom for the record...
look for thoughts and musings in the near future. Thanks and Namaste.
LOST season 5 group picture. What a wonderful ensemble. The creators have put together a group that is as good as any I have seen since Homicide:Life on the Street. Also, this is a part of my edification process of blogging. I have now successfully learned how to download an image to my blog. Thanks, for allowing me to learn at your expense.

Recommended podcast-The Lost Lowdown
As mentioned before, I am a huge fan of podcasts. Not only are they informative and educational, they are widely entertaining. I have a bunch of podcasts I follow and really don't have any that I like more than the other, so I don't rank them.
That being said, the first podcast I ever listened to was, "The Lost Lowdown with Claude and Justin." All I can say is WOW! These guys are hilarious and play off of each other tremendously well. Their podcasts are long, but for those like me who enjoy their insight as much as their off topic rants, I find myself only wanting for more at the end of four, six, even upwards of sixteen or seventeen hours. I promise you that if you give them a try, you will not only be pleased, but you will be as hooked as I am. The only thing that I regret is that they don't have a t-shirt and to my knowledge we have not seen a picture of them.
If you happen to follow along with them please sign up on their site and tell them I sent you. Also post some good reviews for them on iTUNES as well.
Thanks, Claude and Justin. I just added big fan of the Lost Lowdown to my business card.

The start of a new journey..
I am embarking on blogging at the nudging of my wife and sister-in-law (Rach). I am a huge fan of the TV show LOST (literally and figuratively). What is the allure of this show? I think it lies in the fact that LOST has set a precedence among TV fans and pop culture fans. Not only does it satisfy above and beyond the normal idiot box shows, but it leaves a hunger for more as we search for the answers posed to us throughout a given episode.
LOST not only acknowledges that its audience has above average intelligence (or so we think), but it challenges us to become smarter. Whether that is our intention or not. This show has created a working puzzle that is not only fun to piece together, it is also fun to speculate and try to figure the direction a story thread is going even before it is revealed.
I have posted my views on other sites and for the most part have received positive responses or if nothing else a view from someone that helps me see things a little differently. I have on a couple of occasions been put down by responders who live only to belittle others and make them appear to be stupid while trying to give the appearance that they are far superior than myself or anyone else. Fortunately, they have only succeeded and confirmed what the rest of us already knew. They are KNUCKLEHEADS. So part of this blog is to allow people to respond without fear of being put down by others. We will not only enjoy the show, but also enjoy following along with each others theories whether they are crackpot or not.
I am not sure which format I will take in this blog, but rest assured that it will be fun.
Another thing I would like to do is open your eyes to other blogs, websites, and podcasts that are out there that you may not know about. I will briefly describe these for you and place a link on my blog so that you may check it out yourself.
I thoroughly enjoy podcasts regarding LOST. Not only are they entertaining, but most of them offer new insight and thought regarding LOST that you may have not thought about before or maybe they will confirm some ideas you have contemplated. Either way the beauty of LOST is that it has a community of followers that love it just as much as you do and are just excited in sharing their thoughts with you.
A side note, I do not send money to any of the podcasters as I cannot afford too much. What I do, however, is at least order a t-shirt if one is offered or a book if one is available. These wonderful people are giving their time toward something they love and is entertaining to us as well. If you are able, I feel it is a nice way to say thank you and promote them as well.
I hope this blog will prove to be half as entertaining to you as it is for me.
Thank you and Namaste,
A

Welcome to my new adventure into blogging. Like everything else, I seem to be coming in as everyone else has been doing this for a while. Have patience with me as I get the ball rolling. My blog will consist a great deal about LOST the television show. I will offer my insight to what I have seen, all the while hoping that you, the reader, can follow along with me offering your insights as well. My purpose is to stimulate discussion about the show and why the reader agrees or disagrees with my observations. Also, I am looking for the reader to expand on my thoughts or to tell me that I am a KNUCKLEHEAD and educated way beyond my intelligence in my ramblings. I have a great passion for LOST on many levels and this blog provides for me another outlet in which I can continue to enjoy the show. Thanks for giving me the chance to share along in this adventure with you.
Sincerely,
Andy (THE Knucklehead)
